Vatterott College has a new course, Medical Assistant with Limited Radiography Technology, which they are currently taking enrollments for.
This is a fairly comprehensive is a 70 week Associate of Occupational Studies course which provides skills in administrative and clinical duties.
At the end of the course students will be qualified as both an Associate of Occupational Studies, A.O.S and will receive certification as a Limited Diagnostic Radiographer in the state of Iowa.
The course includes training in lab and office management, radiography procedures, radiation biology, safety and pathology.
In addition to learning the fundamental skills of medical assisting, students will participate in additional training in human resources, HIPPA and OSHA regulations, accounting and insurance billing.
“These additional specialized degree programs in the medical assisting field are a wonderful addition to our campus and we are eager to begin to offering them our students” said, Sarah Bouma, Campus Director, Vatterott College, Des Moines. “The instructors in our Electrical Technician program are leaders in their field and will make leaders out of their students.”
The courses are available in both a daytime and evening schedule.
